A1A Solar & Electric is Stay Safe Jax’s catalog name for the Jacksonville solar and electrical contractor that public listings now call A1A Solar & Air and A1A Solar Contracting Inc. The Google card attached here is A1A Solar & Air at 10418 New Berlin Road, Unit 223, Jacksonville, FL 32226, on the Northside. This page is that New Berlin Road company. It is not a different A1A contractor in another Florida county and not an HVAC-only shop that borrowed the highway name.
The Places dump was unconfident because the catalog said Electric and Google said Air. Independent public records treat them as the same firm. LinkedIn lists A1A Solar & Air with aliases A1A Solar Contracting and A1A Solar Contracting, Inc., the same New Berlin Road headquarters, a 2010 founding year, and phone (904) 468-7861. The Better Business Bureau files A1A Solar Contracting Inc and describes solar, batteries, EV chargers, and HVAC. Nextdoor’s A1A Solar Contracting Inc page uses the A1A Solar & Air name for the same 2010 company. Stay Safe Jax therefore attaches the 4.8-from-628 Google card instead of leaving the page blank.
Public ratings on this page are stored snapshots, not live scores. Google Places currently lists A1A Solar & Air at 4.8 from 628 reviews for the 10418 New Berlin Road Unit 223 listing. Stay Safe Jax has no stored Yelp rating, so the headline is the Google snapshot: 4.8 from 628 reviews. Those numbers do not refresh when someone opens the page.
The BBB profile for A1A Solar Contracting Inc lists Florida licenses HVAC CAC1823607, solar CVC 56771, and electrical EC 13001175, plus City of Jacksonville license 190199, and says the business was incorporated April 9, 2010. Stay Safe Jax reprints those numbers from the BBB file so residents can check them on the state site. A license list is not a court finding.
Stay Safe Jax leaves warning flags at 0. This is a Northside solar and electrical contractor that added HVAC in 2025 according to the BBB and credential pages Stay Safe Jax reviewed, with a strong Google snapshot and a public license file. The tone follows that evidence. Stay Safe Jax does not paste a company website and does not invent a solar-scam story. If you hire this company, use the New Berlin Road Google listing and the BBB file, and confirm whether the quote is for solar, batteries, electrical, or HVAC before you sign.

Fact-check correction: business name and identity
The evidence supports A1A Solar / A1A Solar & Air / A1A Solar Contracting, Inc., not the exact name A1A Solar & Electric.
Stay Safe Jax rechecked the identity from scratch. The phrase “A1A Solar & Electric” did not appear as the validated official or legal name in the sources reviewed. The official website displays A1A Solar and uses the homepage title A1A Solar & Air. Florida Sunbiz lists A1A SOLAR CONTRACTING, INC. as an active Florida Profit Corporation at 10418 New Berlin Rd Unit 223, Jacksonville, FL 32226. DBPR license records for solar and electrical licenses also use A1A SOLAR CONTRACTING, INC. as the DBA. Because the address, phone, website, BBB profile, Birdeye Google mirror, SolarReviews, Angi, and NABCEP listing all converge on the same entity, the corrected profile treats A1A Solar / A1A Solar & Air / A1A Solar Contracting, Inc. as the verified business and removes unsupported use of “A1A Solar & Electric” as a formal name.

Reputation and service-risk review
Ratings are strong overall, but complaints show service, monitoring, warranty, and communication issues that homeowners should clarify in writing.
Public review signals are generally positive but mixed. Birdeye republishes Google reviews for the exact matching location as 4.7 stars from 506 Google reviews. SolarReviews shows 4.65 from 216 reviews, Angi shows 4.7 from 24 reviews, and BBB reviews show 5.0 from 7 customer reviews. However, BBB also lists 4 complaints in the last 3 years, all answered, including service/repair and product issues. The complaints and some SolarReviews/Angi entries raise issues around solar monitoring hardware, response gaps, out-of-warranty costs, and production/savings expectations. One BBB response acknowledged that the company “dropped the ball” during a 2024 service gap, while another response acknowledged that more consistent updates could have been provided in a 2026 complaint. This does not establish unsafe work, but it does justify consumer caution around written service terms, monitoring responsibilities, warranty exclusions, and response timelines.
