Research What Jacksonville residents should know
Burrito Gallery on this Stay Safe Jax page is a closed Jacksonville restaurant brand, not an open burrito shop. The listing residents still search is the original downtown room at 21 East Adams Street, Jacksonville, FL 32202. Stay Safe Jax does not attach Google ratings from Dorothy’s Downtown, which later opened in that first-floor space, or from Brooklyn Station on Riverside Avenue. Those are different businesses. The Jacksonville Daily Record reported on February 8, 2024 that Burrito Gallery at 21 E. Adams Street shut on February 7 after 18 years. Co-owners Shawn Lednick and John Valentino declined to comment. A door sign thanked customers for 18 years and said the location was closed. News4Jax carried the same downtown closing the same day. The Daily Record noted the Jacksonville Beach shop at 300 Beach Boulevard had closed about three months earlier. News4Jax still mentioned Brooklyn and Town Center as open in that February 2024 story. Those shops later closed too. The Florida Times-Union reported on June 23, 2025 that Burrito Gallery at Brooklyn Station, 90 Riverside Avenue #601, closed abruptly after nine and a half years, ending the brand’s roughly 20-year run in Jacksonville. Signs thanked customers and said Burrito Gallery was closed. The Times-Union recap said the original downtown restaurant closed in February 2024, Jacksonville Beach closed in November 2023, and Gateway Village at Town Center on Gate Parkway closed in March 2025. After those four closings, Stay Safe Jax treats Burrito Gallery as a closed Jacksonville concept, not a hidden open kitchen. What replaced downtown is public too. The Jacksonville Daily Record reported on August 12, 2024 that investor Elias Hionides bought 21 E. Adams Street on August 2 for $1.6 million and that Dorothy’s Downtown would take the first-floor Burrito Gallery space, with Indochine remaining upstairs. A February 2025 Downtown Investment Authority packet described the same purchase and a façade grant for the 1910 building. Those documents are about the next tenant. They are not a Google score for Burrito Gallery. Public ratings on this page are stored snapshots. Stay Safe Jax removed any leftover Google card so residents are not sent to Dorothy’s Downtown or Brooklyn Station by mistake. The headline is 0 from 0 reviews. Stay Safe Jax leaves warning flags at 0. A restaurant closing is not a consumer-protection case. The page stays in the sitemap so people searching Burrito Gallery can read the sourced closings and go to the news links instead of a borrowed rating.
