Circle of Hope School

Circle of Hope School on this Stay Safe Jax page is the Lutheran Services Florida early-learning campus Google lists as LSF Circle of Hope School at Moncrief, 5710 Castellano Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32208. That address is Moncrief / Northside, not Springfield. This page is only that Castellano Avenue school. It is not Hope Haven or Discovery School at 4600 Beach Boulevard, not the Don Brewer Early Learning Center at 1095 A. Philip Randolph Boulevard, and not LSF’s A.L. Lewis center at 3655 Ribault Scenic Drive. Public ratings on this page are stored snapshots, not live scores. Google Places currently lists LSF Circle of Hope School at Moncrief at 3.7 from 19 reviews. Stay Safe Jax stored the same 3.7 from 19 reviews. Stay Safe Jax has no stored Yelp rating, so the headline is the Google snapshot: 3.7 from 19 reviews. Those numbers do not refresh when someone opens the page. Nineteen reviews is a small file for a new or newly renamed campus. A 3.7 is mixed, ordinary, and not a reason to hang a warning flag on a Head Start–family school. Circle of Hope’s public program copy describes a nurturing early-education program for children about 6 weeks to 5 years, built on more than 40 years of Lutheran Services Florida early-childhood work in Duval County. The same public site lists three Jacksonville points: Don Brewer downtown, A.L. Lewis on the Northside, and Circle of Hope School at Moncrief at 5710 Castellano Avenue. As of the copy reviewed for this page, that Moncrief line still said “coming soon,” while a LinkedIn invitation from LSF Head Start leadership dated October 10, 2025, invited people to a ribbon cutting for Circle of Hope School at Moncrief. Google marks the Castellano Avenue listing OPERATIONAL, with weekday hours 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and phone (904) 416-0327. Treat opening status as new and confirm before you drive. Google lists wheelchair parking, entrance, and restroom. LSF Head Start’s public materials describe no-cost or subsidized early care for eligible Duval families. That is program context, not a promise that every Circle of Hope classroom is free. Stay Safe Jax did not find a current lawsuit or news investigation about the Moncrief campus. Warning flags stay at 0. A 3.7 from 19 reviews is not a hit list. Families should read Florida CARES inspections, ask which LSF door they are touring, and add factual notes about Castellano Avenue pickup and how staff communicate with new parents.
