Hodges Mazda at the Avenues is the Mazda new-car, used-car, and service store at 10681 Philips Highway, Jacksonville, FL 32256, on Jacksonville’s Southside near The Avenues. Google Places currently lists that same lot as Mazda at the Avenues. The sales phone on Google is (904) 853-3556. This Stay Safe Jax page is only that Philips Highway Mazda point. It is not Hodges Mazda of St. Augustine at 1165 Marketplace Drive, not Coggin Toyota at 11340 Philips Highway, and not O'Steen Volvo a few doors away at 10863 Philips Highway.
Google Maps now shows the name Mazda at the Avenues because the Hodges family sold the store. The Jacksonville Daily Record reported on June 25, 2025, that brothers David and Dan Hodges sold Hodges Mazda of the Avenues and Hodges Mazda of St. Augustine to Larry Morgan and Brett Morgan of Tampa-based Morgan Automotive Group. Haig Partners of Fort Lauderdale advised the sellers. The Daily Record said the sale was June 24, 2025, that the 5.54-acre Philips Highway lot sold for $11.7 million, and that the St. Augustine lot sold for $15.7 million. David Hodges, formerly CEO of Scott-McRae Automotive Group, said in the release that he was exiting the automotive business after 35 years. Haig Partners later said the Jacksonville Mazda sale set a record blue-sky price for a Mazda dealership. Stay Safe Jax treats that as an ownership change, not a warning.
The Better Business Bureau still files Hodges Mazda at this Philips Highway address and notes a customer comment that the store is under new ownership as Mazda at the Avenues. BBB also opened a Mazda at the Avenues profile, listed as accredited since July 25, 2025, with alternate name Morgan Auto Group. Stay Safe Jax does not treat BBB accreditation as a star rating.
